Donna subsequently taught pottery and dance at the then brand new Clark County Community College. Upon her move to Pahrump in the late 1970’s she became an instructor for the outreach program and taught dance in the Pahrump and Amargosa Valleys before starting her own studio in 1979. In 1993 Donna was a founding member of the Pahrump Visual and Performing Arts Council (PVPAC) and president for the first two years. She participated in numerous programs sponsored by PVPAC bringing instruction and demonstrations of dance, pottery and sculpture to the classrooms of Pahrump.

Alisa Shoults - DIRECTOR

Alisa began dancing in 1981 in San Marcos, CA under Grace Ann Etchebarria-Jacobs. She began with ballet and tap and advanced to include jazz and pointe as soon as she was able.  In 1991 she began teaching as well and continued with her own classes until 1995 when she moved to Las Vegas, NV. to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Alisa expanded her talents to include musical theater.  Her love of dance with a desire to become active in musical theatre has been a passion that has continued throughout her entire life.   Over the years, Alisa performed in musicals at various venues in California from the United States International University, in San Diego, CA, and the Moonlight Amphitheater in Vista, CA, before moving to Lake Havasu City, AZ, and performing with the Show Biz Kids and the Mohave Community College.  Some of the musicals she performed in are Carousel, The Wiz, Lil Abner, Annie, Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof, Tom Sawyer, Peter Pan, and Music Man.

While attending UNLV, Alisa learned American and International Styles of ballroom dance, and in 1996 was a member of UNLV’s ballroom dance formation team under the direction of Donna Medrano and danced in many competitions.

Alisa retired from dancing and theatre in 1997, and in 2010 she returned to dance at Donna’s Studio of Dance in Pahrump, NV. You’ll still find her here at the studio enjoying the musical theater/theater classes or dancing in any of the ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, or tap classes – and even teaching some of the classes!

Sydni Hunt- Administrator

Dance has always been a major part of Sydni Hunt's life. At just four years old, she took her first ballet class at Dance Dynamics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From there, her love for dance only grew stronger. She continued to take classes in ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, and pointe.
When her family moved to Pahrump in 2008, she was determined to continue her dance journey. She found a local studio and was thrilled to discover they offered hip hop classes. Despite being new to the style, Sydni jumped right in and embraced the challenge. She quickly fell in love with hip hop and the energy and creativity it allowed her to express.
Now, as a young adult, Sydni is eager to share her passion and knowledge of dance with the children of Pahrump. She believes that dance is not just about learning steps and routines, but also about building confidence, discipline, and teamwork. She hopes to inspire her students to push themselves and reach their full potential, both on and off the dance floor. As a dance instructor, Sydni is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for her students. She understands the importance of creating a space where students feel comfortable to express themselves and take risks.
She is grateful for the opportunities dance has given her and is determined to share that gift with others. Sydni is excited to continue her dance journey in Pahrump and make a positive impact on the community!
